What’s up with all these body parts? I’m not big on politics, but I thought Weiner was a good politican. I saw him in a few debates and he spoke well and never backed down. He was a front runner to be Mayor of New York City. It’s a shame his issues leaked out on social media.

Dallas Mavericks Win NBA Finals 2011

Dirk Nowitzki was a little off, but Jason Terry was on fire. Can anyone stop JJ Barea? It was a total team effort that won a well deserved championship. They were classy throughout and it’s nice to see veterans like Nowitzki, Terry, Jason Kidd, and Shawn Marion get their elusive ring. LeBron James and Dwayne Wade have a long summer ahead. Wade went down fighting, but where was James? They seriously have turned into the hated Yankees and the NWO featuring the evil Hollywood Hulk Hogan, especially after mocking Dirk’s sick day. Amazing basketball and drama throughout. The NBA is still fantastic. Congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks!

Maverick Comeback, Miami Meltdown, Li Na Wins!

Still don’t know if was an amazing comeback or an amazing meltdown. Much is being made about Dwayne Wade’s three pointer pose and LeBron’s early celebration after building a fifteen point lead. Credit to the Mavericks for not giving up and Nowitzki powering through with an injured left hand. I hope this will be a long series!

Li Na becomes the first Chinese tennis player to win a Grand Slam! Mark your history books. I’m slightly surprised it took this long as she comes from a nation of over one billion people. Congratulations!

LeBron Is Better Than Jordan?

Scottie Pippen is one of my favorite basketball players, but he is insane. He is causing many debates, which is good while we wait for the finals, but still, are you losing your mind? LeBron, no doubt, is one of the best players in the game right now and has a white hot future, but let’s save the discussion when he gets a championship. Perhaps Scottie was hungover. Speaking of which, check out my review of The Hangover Part II!

Mike Brown New Lakers Coach

Looks like Showtime has a new coach. It’s former Cavs coach and current NBA analyst Mike Brown. Say what? I know we’ve been spoiled and anyone else other than Phil Jackson looks like a downgrade, but Mike Brown? Economically, the Lakers save some money. Phil was getting 13 million so to get a coach for 4 to 5 million looks like a bargain.

He had some success in Cleveland with LeBron, but I was hoping for someone with more experience as the drop off from Phil is steep. If you did want to go young and save the dollars, at least go with Brian Shaw who knows the system and is close with your best player, the Black Mamba. The worrisome part is Kobe Bryant was not consulted on the coaching position. Oh boy. Let’s hope everyone plays nicely for the next few years. It’s been a busy few days. Time moves so fast, a blog is a great way to look back on newsworthy events. Some more so than others, but garnering media attention nonetheless.

The Governator was getting busy and channeling his inner Conan. The mother of his love child (Mildred Baena) was revealed. There’s even talk that he may have another love child from another woman. Guess now we know why California’s financial woes never got fixed.

Endeavor Twitter Pic Goes Viral

Stefanie Gordon’s tweets about one of the last space shuttle flights went viral. She captured some awesome pictures from her seat as she herself was on a flight. She instantly got thousands of followers and every media outlet was using her pics. Welcome to the new age of journalism!

Oprah Farewell Show

Can’t believe she’s been rocking on for 25 years! The stars came out to say goodbye to the woman who influenced countless lives. She’s an inspiration to all!

Dirk Nowitzki Baddest Gun in the West

What a performance. 48 points and hit all 24 of his free throws for a new NBA record. After years of heartache, could this be his year?

Bulls Slam Dunk Heat

It’s gonna be a fun series, but yesterday’s game one was a blow out. I expected things to be a little more competitive. Taj Gibson of all people had two career highlight dunks in the opener. D-Wade is one of my favorite players, but he absolutely gets posterized here. I normally wouldn’t do this, but it was pretty awesome. Reggie Miller goes nuts as well.

The next dunk is a one handed put back. Listen for the ferocity as the ball tears through the rim and net. Taj Gibson should retire right now. Don’t think he’ll ever come close to these two highlights, again.
